Well it was the cop show that put the sexy back into crime prevention and it launched two of the unsexiest lead men in history into super stardom. David Caruso was the ginger topped detective, fighting the bad guys with an unrivalled nose for crime and a bag of one liners that would have Arnold Schwarzenegger drooling. If Officer Ranga wasn’t enough, the portly Dennis Franz had about as much visual appeal as a big bag of sheep guts, but as with Caruso, his feisty pursuit of justice somehow rose above his aesthetic limitations; somehow he became... kinda hot. We don’t really understand the science behind it.
