Sydney Darling Harbour

August 26 2018

Does anyone know of a good drag show around Darling Harbour that caters for an.... um...... more mature audience? The ones I’ve googled say the age demographic is upper limit 35. We don’t want to scare these poor young things with a glimpse into their future wrinkly selves 😂 We are coming up this weekend and would love to see a great stage show. Thanks in advance if you have any suggestions Mrs LAL - Posted from rhpmobile

Why do you think being 13 years above 35 makes a difference to the audience? - Posted from rhpmobile

I think these days, age difference is less of a barrier than it used to. I'm often the eldest at parties and functions. And often the younger ones engage me and before l know it, I'm tripping the light fantastic on the dance floor with 20's aged chicks. Just dont gaol into the trap of acting old. And go to that drag show. It'll probably be at a gay bar where l find the best non judgmental group of people you can be around. Have a blast.

Were tongue in cheek as the reviews I read online state that over 35 may feel “ outdated”. It wasn’t a serious comment. I’m more than comfortable with my age. MischeviousLad I’m curious why you asked that question and didn’t actually answer my inquiry? Annie thanks for your input. If you can suggest any fun bars I’m all ears :) Mrs LAL - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm not up to speed with the Sydney scene. I'd be thinking there would be a few down Oxford st on a friday and Saturday night. I know Melbourne has lost many Drag Show venues in recent times due to closure of some iconic places.

Yep I agree about Melbourne! Such a pity to lose great acts! Mrs LAL - Posted from rhpmobile
