  I think that men are still stuck in the mindset that in the butt is gay. Women had tguer revolution start in the 60s(?). Men are still stuck in the timewarp.   I don’t think anything being "taboo" automatically means people secretly want it. Sometimes people simply aren’t into anal play and that’s okay. People aren't into rimming, that's ok too. And practical things like hygiene, prep and comfort probably influence people more than people admit. Part of the "taboo" may simply be practical concerns and perceptions around hygiene and cross contamination. IE Anal to vaginal.   Homophobia. The number of straight guys I've been in some sort of group play with, only to find out they're not actually straight. Astounding.   It's the somewhat fragile masculinity men have that any anal play will have them.labelled as gay/bi which is absurd is this lifestyle as judgement should go out the window.
