My advice for the new fellas (35 -55 I'm thinking)
May 03 2025
So, I'm about 6 months into this and thought I'd provide newcomers with my new found wisdom (disclaimer: I am no expert, nor close to being a male model), figuring that they can at least learn from my missteps.
1. Temper your expectations - before you send the first like or message, know that the odds of you hooking up with the first account you contact are ridiculously low. Neither will you have partners lined up 7 nights a week, every week... ever.
2. The three 'R's - READ the profiles before you even think about messaging. RESPECT; you are trying to communicate with other humans, so keep the dick pics for another day and be, I don't know, civil. REJECTION; if your default response to the word 'no' is to throw your toys at the wall and scream for attention, you won't do well here. If you are respectful (see above) most rejections are a simple 'thanks, but no' or 'sorry. not interested'. Take your medicine and move on.
3. Know thyself - If by our age (35 - 55) you don't really know who you are, on a very deep level, then walk away. Anything you add to your profile that isn't true will be revealed eventually and probably lead to some level of humiliation at the time. Do you really want that in your life? Also, people on here chat about the fakes and phonies!
So, that's my version of advice. To the good guys out there (yes sceptics, we do exist) I wish you all the best.
