Depends on the person your seeing. Being neurodivergent I’m extremely sensitive to fragrances especially anything that isn’t an essential oil.

Never gone for fragrances - I don’t see myself as Johnny Depp playing a guitar solo in the desert. I quite like natural scent on women and they seem to reciprocate the sentiment.

I'm a sensitive soul and have sensitive skin and sense of smell so I don't like aftershaves per se but a nice EDT or EDP, one spray on my chest for day to day, 2 sprays if I'm out on the town. My fave at the moment is Terre d'Hermes parfum but MrsS isn't keen on it. I seem to gravitate to Hugo Boss offerings (which she likes). For her, Carolina Herrara Very Good Girl (of course) make her feel special and drives me wild. If you're after a hint to drive women wild then don't stress with the expense of perfumes, just wash your clothes in apple scented softener, the women of your dreams will not be able to resist it haha

Every scent is different on each person, Gentleman. A more floral scent is lighter then a muskier scent. I suggest going to David Jones or Myers. Smell the scent yourself and have the assistant help you. Also where you place the fragrance will make a difference. I personally put 3 sprays on my neck, 1 below each ear and one above the chest, just before I leave for the date. Other people I know place it on their chest.

Interesting to read the different viewpoints on this. I find that a particular fragrance can become part of instantly recognisable identity of those I'm close with. The combination of their scent, an ETD/ETP they wear, their shampoo / conditioner and maybe be even their deodorant and laundry detergent they use all combine to be a bit of a fingerprint. I've had people close to me say the same about me (ok, sans shampoo). Similar to what others have posted on how the same fragrance is subtly different on different people. Maybe that's why I've always been fairly monogamous with scents. I was a Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male guy for the better part of 20 years, but parted ways with JP and cosied up to Versace Eros when it was first released. We've been happy together ever since.... I do appreciate though that some people have hyper sensitivity, and don't like any fragrances. I try to always remember to ask prior to a first meeting, as part of the likes/dislikes/boundaries sharing.

Not a fan of after shave. Clean natural scent is better for me. I have noticed that everyman I have been close with/very attracted to, I have also loved his smell. Pheromones or what not.

Was on sauvage for a while but not anymore. Now interchange between burberry (hero) and gucci (guilty). Occasionally use D&G (the one). All pretty good scents and if it was to pick my favourite, I'd say gucci.

I get SO many compliments about my aftershave: Terre D’Hermes, but hardly anyone seems to know about it. It was 20 years ago, I was at the Frankfurt airport duty free and a fellow passenger recommended it. Without fail, every woman I hug will say I smell nice. #lazyladykiller

Don't fall into the whole scent marketing machine. Two guys, same perfume, two different smells. You're natural odor affects the scent. Personally, I don't use scents. Give my pheromones the best chance to get their message across. 😉

Any Tom Ford, Chanel L'Egoiste, Jean Paul Gaultier 'Le Male'. A fantastic smelling man, get's my attention. I've also picked up some amazing fragrances for Mr DV8 at TK Maxx.
