warning this is about a vacum cleaner lol A while back my Miele vac which I had for years went kapoot :( Recently I purchased one of the new Miele bagless vacum cleaners upon my first time emptying not being used a bagless vac as well as not having anything to catch what I had vacumed up under it, I pressed the button and whoosh all over the floor lol it went, it sucked because I ended up sneezing for ages. Lesson learnt make sure I have it over something to catch it next time it will save a lot of tissues lol Something else I learnt from the lovely saleswoman is that Miele's first vac was a bagless model, but they scapped the idea back them as they weren't happy with it.

Because the day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is the day they start making vacuum cleaners.

Quoting 'Meander' After 2 months of having been on steroids, you now need prednisolone for your ongoing health problems. So tired of having to buy more clothes because I keep growing rapidly. I mean, first world problems, but felt like a little rant. Hugs from us Meander. I lost 16kg. for no reason in the 10 months prior to the Sydney M&G, then, in early 2017, I had to take a course of prednisone. I put on 9kg. and haven't been able to shift it since. I have a wardrobe full of memories and hopes of one day, even if I'm a little old man, fitting back into some bloody nice clothes. Life can be shitty at times, the good news is, you're still you. Well, doesn't it just suck, when a government decides to, in part, fix a budgetary hole and give some permanency and stability of funding to a critical area, like The NDIS, then lose their testicles and change their mind a year later. Our treasurer says we are doing so well this year, there's no need to provide that long-term stability. Hope we keep having good years. Perhaps it's more a case of, we'll leave it for someone else to fix, just as labour did after suggesting the scheme. .. The NDIS remains only rolled out and available in limited areas. There are only about a third of those ultimately expected to participate and benefit from the scheme, currently accessing it, due to implementation delays. .. The NDIA, the body overseeing it's implementation, is a mess. They have enormous trouble with staff retention, an unmanageable workload, are aware of funding shortfalls, and this is all with two thirds of expected clientele, still to access the scheme. May who have accessed it have had subsequent funding reduced, in order to support new recipients. .. There are many, many stories of delayed payment by the government for services and equipment delivered, to the point where some businesses over the last two years have refused to continue dealing with NDIS clients. Many, many clients are waiting months, even years, for vital equipment to be approved and paid for by the government. Yet, Scott Morrison will regularly come out smiling, saying, all is well. .. It's sad as I watch tv, Q&A, news bulletins, The Project, Morning shows, and read newspaper articles and online news stories, that there continues to be no real appetite within the major political parties, to address the issue. We're talking about some of the most vulnerable and disenfranchised people within the community. They deserve better. Perhaps that much heralded tax cut for businesses should be quarantined from the banking and financial sector, given their behaviour, and used to fund areas like this. Rant over for now. .. I agree, the ndis is a mess. I am dealing with it with my daughter after her spinal injury. Part of the funding problem shortfalls that I can see is the amount that businesses are allowed to charge. The ndis rate for my daughter's physio is around $170/h. It's utterly rediculous. It reminds me of the school building scheme with them paying triple the price for building work. They need to fix the scheduled prices.

I wish you all the best with it KJ. . I agree that there will usually be some rorting whenever there is a pot of money available. There are some questionable charges out there, some line items that seem out of scale with others, yet basic front line support staff only get about $27 per hour. Other parts of fees can be there to cover business expenses, however, it could be argued that some of those expenses don't match cost incurred. New line items continue to be added, which seems strange after so many years, mind you, there weren't that many, nor enough, up to mid last year. Those accessing it for support can only hope the "early" implementation problems are overcome and the sooner the better. .. Ms Foxy, not quite sure what the "Face with tears of joy" emoji was trying to convey? There is some talk that the scheme may not survive exactly as it has been Very Slowly rolled out and as it was intended to be. It would be a shame to see the choice of support for people accessing the scheme taken away and a return to begging for any support possible under Block Funding. The scheme can make such a truly important improvement in people's lives at such a fundamental level. So many find themselves dealing with disability through no fault of there own, they just require a little extra help from the community. .. P.S. *many not may, in my previous post. Unfortunately, with the battery running out on the tablet and trying to get out whatever was in my head to say on the subject, I didn't get time to proof read it, happens sometimes. Mr. urn. .

To add, Mrs. urn. just thought of an addition to what I wrote, after reading it. And it's a good point. The support is not only for assistance and benefit of the person with the disability directly, it can also be of significant assistance to their family, guardian, carers. Often, it's those people around the person with disability that do much of the heavy lifting and daily support. This can take a significant toll on those in these formal and informal carer roles. So accessing more formal support and services can be of benefit to the person with disability and their family and support. This can have broad-ranging implications and potential benefits. Mr. & Mrs. urn. .

Radiation x35 rounds finished. Son home with feeding tube and a port for morphine. No voice, taste buds dead as are salivary glands. His hair has gone and his neck has 3rd degree burns. Also lost the hearing in one ear. On the plus side his chance of surviving 5 years are 53%. Unfortunately scan showed a hot spot in his bowel, so he is having surgery on 20/6/18. We remain positive and thank all you amazing people for all your best wishes you have sent me. - Posted from rhpmobile

I just don't think it will last long, as so many will miss out. Another Government scheme/bright idea. I remember years ago John Ford was paid heaps for recommendations for changes in the disability sector. To this day, 10+ yrs later, am yet to see them. Ms Foxy

My son was officially told he is in remission yesterday 17/7/18. Scam shows cancer is gone and he will need scans every 3 months for 2 years. His hair is growing back, feeding tube gone and he’s off morphine. It is the best outcome for all of us. The thought of burying your child is something no parent should have to contemplate. Many thanks for all your prayers and thoughts, they mean more than you will ever know. ❤️ - Posted from rhpmobile
