We’ve all heard of sexy adult parties, but how about an entire cruise dedicated to frisky, open-minded swingers?

I was fortunate enough to be part of the Rumba Mediterranean swingers cruise organised by Luxury Lifestyle Vacations, and I was blown away.

This 8 days and 9 nights cruise was nothing short of spectacular. The cruise started in Rome and stopped in some of the most amazing and romantic spots on the Mediterranean, stopping by Florence, Monaco, St. Tropez, world-famous Cap d' Agde, Ibiza and finally Barcelona.

As I settled into my cabin, the crew ran through a list of house rules to adhere to, the obvious ones like no photos taken of other couples etc. Appropriate clothing to be worn in all restaurants and other designated areas not marked as clothing-optional. No frolicking with the staff. And above all “No Means NO!”

As soon as the announcements were over, I went out to explore the ship. I headed to the sun deck and found most couples were there, naked and sun bathing around the pool. From the moment, I stepped inside the pool deck, I could feel the lustful electricity in the air.

The ship had barely left the first port and this frisky crowd from all over the world wasted no time to get the party going. It was crazy to see over 300 couples just letting loose and going for it in real life.

Some couples were happy to just stretch out on the sunbeds and soak in the sun rays, while others danced naked to the summer tunes.

The sun deck or pool deck, as I discovered, was to become the epicentre of the cruise. The appeal was obvious, there was an open bar all day and night, and sexy people dancing to the tunes of the amazing DJs & entertainers.

It’s here that you mingle and jell with everybody and warm up to the night ahead. It was so easy to make friends with everyone. Maybe it was the sun, the vulnerability and honesty of being stark naked that made it so easy to mingle and of course the day-drinking helped too.

After spending the day working on their perfectly even tan, couples headed down to have dinner and later got ready for their first theme party – Little Italy.

Every night around 10pm, the dance club would open and quickly get packed. Everyone would dress up according to the night theme. Theme nights ranged from Little Italy, Roman Empire, Casino Royal, Grand Prix, 80's Night, Pirates of the sea, ABC and Lady in Red. Every night the couples outdid each other with their sexy outfits for the night.

Within an hour of dancing, drinking and flirting the club would empty out. Couples would either head to the playroom dubbed the Sin Room or back to their cabins if they wanted more intimate encounters.

The playroom, that doubled as a hands-on sex-ed and massage classes during the day, at night became a space where anything-goes. Set up with beds and dim lighting where couples could get frisky together. In the middle of the playroom, there’s a small marquee for orgies or more risqué behaviour. The aura of the Sin Room was raw, animalistic and sensually captivating.

Of course, not everybody was in the cruise for sex, some wanted to enjoy the edgy atmosphere and hanging in the pool naked.

To add more excitement to the mix, every day we reached a new port, there were excursions organised for couples who wished to visit the shore. The most popular excursion as expected was both Ibiza, the party town and Cap D’Adge. In Cap D’Adge couples could choose to either go to a pool party or a foam party, I went to both and what a blast.

Every day and night for over a week this party boat on the sea never stopped. Think of it as Vegas on steroids, a place to let your id off the leash and do the wild things you have been fantasising about. ‘Wow, that’s a lot to take in!”, you say. Oh yeah, trust me when I say that everyone, me included, needed another week to get over all this incredible holiday.

This cruise and the anything -goes attitude of the couples on board should be on the top list of every swinging couple. It was an amazing experience that I would repeat in a blink of an eye.
