Want to travel somewhere exotic and erotic ?

We all have things, places and experiences we’d like to make happen at some point in our lives. Maybe going to one or more of these twelve wicked sex festival and events could be it. Where getting down and dirty means more than energetic dancing, it means sex and nudity blaring in your face.

Here are twelve wicked sex festivals and events you may want to cross off your bucket list. They offer every flavour of erotic, from festivals devoted to the world of BDSM and fetishes, nudity, sex and sexy orgies.


1. Sexpo, Australia



Let’s start with our own popular sex event- Sexpo, an event that happens in different sates at different times of the year. Despite the catchy name, Sexpo (The Sexuality and Adult Lifestyle Exhibition) is pretty much sex fest light; the event features amateur strip tease, professional pole dancing, and naughty hypnotists, as well as some of the biggest adult film stars in the biz. Hundreds of exhibitors peddle the latest and greatest in kinky toys.

2. Exotic Erotic Ball (October, San Francisco, California.)



This festival is probably not one of the biggest but is one of the wildest. It has turned San Francisco into the world’s biggest pre-Halloween party. It has a reputation for glitz, amazing costumes and some of the craziest sex shows and performances you’ll ever see.


3. Kinky Copenhagen (October, Copenhagen, Denmark)




The Danes turned the kink up a notch with this festival. The intent here is to explore the world of BDSM, fetishes and unusual sexual behaviours. Also, if you’re into body art, piercings and other “modifications,” this is the festival to get your bodywork done or updated.


4. Folsom Street Fair (September, San Francisco, California)

The fair, which takes place every September. It’s probably the largest event to focus mostly on fetishes and BDSM. It’s a huge street party but with sex toys, public floggings people gagged, bound and dressed in latex. If you’ve got a kink or an unusual itch to scratch, this is probably the best place to fulfil your fantasy. From whipping and spanking to, in some cases, full-on sex, there isn't a whole lot that's off-limits at Folsom Street Fair


5. Burning Man festival’s ORGY DOME



Among the attractions at the yearly event, in Burning man festival, is the Orgy Dome. Run by a group called And The There’s Only Love, the 24 hour giant tent is promoted as a safe, “a sex-positive, consensual space for couples and moresomes to play”, welcoming “the combination of love in all forms”.

Everyone’s invited – regardless of whether you’re straight, lesbian, gay, bi, poly-amorous or monogamous.


6. Hump festival, October Seattle

Hump is an annual film festival that began in Seattle, and it’s all about porn. This October festival showcases home-movie erotica with entries made specifically for this festival. The films are watched, rated and awards are given. On the last day of HUMP, movie submissions are destroyed.


7. International Erotic Film Festival (Sept, Barcelona, Spain)



Approximately 50,000 attend every year for many good reasons. The lingerie show is not to be missed, nor are the live sex shows.


8. Erotica (November, London, England)


Recognized as the largest erotic festival on the globe, this massive sex-oriented trade show features exhibits from over 230 erotic vendors plying their wares, along with an erotic jewellery boutique.


9. Kutemajrvi Sex Festival (July, Kangasniemi, Finland)

Those wild and crazy Finns know how to throw a sex festival like no other. Kutemajrvi sex festival celebrates the human eroticism. It features the country’s foremost adult stars, strip shows, lectures on sex and sexuality by renowned researchers and exhibits sex products from the latest, greatest and weirdest.


10. Shinto Kanamara Matsuri (The Festival of the Steel Phallus)




While this spring event started in 1977, it is said to be based on legends told during the 17th century. A sharp-toothed demon fell in love with a beautiful woman but was rebuffed, thus he took out his gory revenge on the anatomy of her lovers until clever blacksmith broke the demon’s teeth with a steel phallus. The event today sees visitors from all over the world come to pay tribute to the phallus through everything from parades to penis-shaped lollipops. It has also recently grown into an event surrounding sexual health education as well as LGBTQ rights.


11. German Fetish Ball Weekend

Every year around April or May, the German Fetish Ball Weekend takes over Germany as the biggest international fetish gala and is the largest fetish and BDSM weekend in Europe. The weekend is full of (X-rated) events from risqué fashion shows, sexy performances of dance and bondage and parties where you will meet guests dressed in leather, lace, and even less, all hosted by the Mistress of Ceremonies, a position which has been held by celebrities such as Kari Berg in years past.

12. Swingfields Festival

Swingfields, Britain’s only open-air festival for swingers, is run by couple ­Deborah and Stuart Wilson, who only reveal the location for each year’s event two days before it begins. Dubbed the biggest  and most controversial event in the swinging calendar, is a three day where anything goes. Lifestylers take part of various forms of sex, group, orgies, kink and anything that turns them on.

The festival has taken place annually since 2013, and has previously been held in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. This year’s was the first in Wales.
