Apart from the people in your life what do you have a passion for?

Do you have a particular interest, cause or hobby that you feel passionate about ?

I have a passion for history,,,I learn something new every day,

So share your passion and you never know who might share your passion too.

Good topic Q

If there is one thing I am, it's passionate.

I do have a sense for history, more recent though, mainly within the last century which I have been alive for more than half of, lol.

I have a passion for knowledge, understanding and the truth.

That ties in with my enjoyment of puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, making things work together if that makes sense.

I passionate about waste I'm thinking as I remember I meant to give back the paper bags to the eatnow deliverer who just left. The environment, the terrible, horrific happenings in Australia have been devastating in so may ways. Australia matters to me. My local suburb. That'll do, Peachy

Life and loving it and living it... not just existing...

About being strong - body mind and soul...

About learning to be ok with me being me and that I don’t have to impress those who have no implication on my life but rather focus on those who do mean something to me.

About fitness - it empowered me to make change in my life where it was most needed

Books and reading although I never seem to have enough time but always ensure I have a new book or two or three on hand

Being outside and in the fresh air just because we can

Seeing beauty in where we live and not missing it because we are too busy to slow down to really see things

About learning to receive - that it’s not selfish it’s ok to be a great giver and a receptive receiver

My partner and children - that should be a given

I am going to learn to become passionate about stress relief and relaxation so as the stress I am currently suffering from doesn’t display itself in the physical manner it currently is... (thanks dr for the tip ;-) so obvious but I was so oblivious to it as well) - maybe that’s partly where those books I have ready to go can be utilised...
Relaxing seems such a simple thing but I feel maybe something we take for granted in our busy world

We enjoy simple lives

We are passionate about conservation of natural resources and being custodians of this planet that we all have to share, and as such have been actively involved in many environmental health issues.

We are passionate about art, architecture, history, classical music, good food, gardening and exploring Australia the new country that we now call home .....all the things that we enjoy.

We are passionate about conserving , restoring, recycling and re-purposing as opposed to throwing out and replacing.

We are passionate about our children and our pet cats.

Fairness.
The most annoying thing you could ever be passionate about because life’s not fair and greed runs the world.

Have a lovely Friday 😉

P.S. hea2785 that was the worst attempt at a pickup line I’ve seen in forever, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry....

Food, fishing and fucking.. although not necessarily in that order.

Sometimes fishing is more important than anything.

I have a passion for learning. Especially therapy and early education, however I love to read up and discuss many topics. There’s so many interesting things in this life.
I’m looking to learn all about feng Shui in more depth over the coming months and complete my early education certification.

Our most vulnerable...

I am passionate about our elderly, I feel that above all others (with the possible exception of children) they are our society's most vulnerable.

Society is done with them, their families are done with them, packed off to an aged ''care'' (an oxymoron in my eyes) facility, where they get to lay in their own piss and shit for hours, day upon day, week upon week. Offshore detention facilities are in the news daily for their lack of human rights, yet the same occurs here in our own country with our elderly citizens. They no longer have opinions or choices once they enter such facilities. They are dependent on others for their care, and frequently that care is simply not delivered.

Having had a lot to do with aged care facilities over the years, I have sworn to my parents that they shall never enter one. I would say to those who ever contemplate packing their parent/s off to one - do not be fooled by flashy exteriors and elegant furniture, they are often (and I would say mostly) truly sub-standard in their level of care. As soon as they became a commercial venture (which most are), humans became a commodity. Savings must be made, budgets must be met, corners must be cut - mostly to do with staffing and thus the level of ''care'' received by their ''clients''.

I have known a few nurses over the years that have worked for nursing homes, some tried to stick it out but most quit in a very short space of time. They would inevitably, and rather quickly, complain to management about the overwhelming workload due to extraordinary client/carer ratios that are simply not feasible - only to be told by managers that they have a monthly budget allocation for staff that is not to be exceeded.

I welcome the recently announced royal commission into aged care and dearly hope it results in increased regulation of the aged care industry.

Life

My life has been full of ups and downs but all experiences that have brought me to where I am today. Every day I wake up and thank God for my life. I think all living creatures have a right to life, I wont kill insects in the house and wont eat animals. Spending time with loved ones, family and friends. My other loves are art and music.

Self improvement

First time forum poster here

I’m passionate about fitness. I think its an incredible method of instilling aspects of self discipline as well as being a great way to relieve stress and improve your health.

I have a keen interest in respect. Treat others with kindness, its not that hard. I hate how prominent the inability to respect one anothers opinion without shoving yours down their throat is today.

Finally I have an active desire to always strive for self improvement. I hate the idea of being stagnant and complacent. Whether that be in terms of education, fitness or even my relationships with others. Its important to be the best version of you

Veterans, the elderly and people with disabilities

I wouldn't say I'm passionate more respecting them as I'm fueled by standing up for their rights and supporting them when I can. I will continue to strive to succeed in that, for as long as I can. It gives me a purpose as well as makes me happy and gives me fuzzy fuzzies knowing that I give a positive in the community rather than a negative. These are people in our community who are vulnerable and do get taken advantage of. I don't like that. I guess that's why I have been in the same job/role for over 20+yrs and am proud to part of the veterans community, groups and events.

Young people our future

I’m passionate about young people in particular. Coaching and mentoring them to be the best version of themselves so they can create a positive future first and foremost and hopefully a positive impact on society.

Having had a hard upbringing I know what it’s like to be surrounded by violence, poverty and a lack of opportunity but you have to believe in yourself, control the things you can, not worry about the things you can’t and make things happen to be a better you. It all starts with you.
