Warning ⚠️

September 08 2019

Can someone please explain the purpose of the ‘Warnings’ on some people’s profiles?

Coming from a legal viewpoint, they seem more like chain mail than anything else. I highly doubt any institution or university etc would ever use it steal your information. Has anyone ever had this happen?

Which means nothing. People will take screenshots willy nilly and theres really nothing they can do about it.

Universities aren't on here trying to secretly infiltrate the swinging community or steal people's boob, butt and cock shots
From a legal standpoint they're also completely useless.
People see them and just copy them without thinking about it. Like sharing all those silly warnings on FB.

I thought it was warnings about peoples profiles. Lolz

Oh that university/ institition statement is just a copy and paste statement. Means nothing.

If anything, I believe the privacy statement from the Privacy Act should replace it. But anyhow....

You see "legal" disclaimers like that and you know already what to expect from that person. Same with shared posts like: "Share this if you don't want Facebook to gain ownership of your pictures etc....."

I think it's weird that the warnings they put on are often longer than their own description.

I find it laughable at best to be honest...I want to know, how will people know that some of their profile was taken? And was it by Sydney University??

I’ve been so tempted to change my
Profile to Syd_uni just to trigger some people, as I know they’ll get scared if they see a profile by that name view their profile 😂😂

... an often quoted and misquoted quote by some dead guy who is still living, it's just a bunch of shite that's nothing but a profile filler-up or downer or something of interest to anyone dumb enough to read it!
    Dat's the one......... son! 🤣

So what if they did use your info in a study or whatever?

    How would you know ?

C’mon warning people step up, who’s prosecuted a university ?

It’s just empty posturing, “don’t fuck with me”

I think it makes you look foolish, or gullible.

The reason we put a warning post on our profile is because we want it kept private it's that simple but Due to data information getting very profitable that will give reasons for organization to use that data in any way they please witch will give a reason for some to invade other people's privacy . As for knowing if it has been used at the time is not always possible but what it's for is if somehow someone sees it later on we would have that there and yes we would find them and we would take action not everybody cares how big a organization is or if it's a individual actually if it's a bigger organization they have a lot more to loose so it should be taken very serious as for individuals well they could loose what they own and more that simple.

Many of the same people who paste the warnings on their profile.... also send photos of their genitals to complete strangers.... many of whom are hiding behind fake profiles

Its kind of pointless signalling about your privacy if youre doing that 😆
