Foxxxy's got a sore shoulder, BoB's got a sore dick, Solitary has an leg issue and I'm getting a tooth implant, we're human and we need maintenance and treatment.
This thread is for matters of a medical nature, not just ours but all medical matters. I'm from a medical family and I've heard a few yarns, one I'll share later.

I had surgery on both breasts last year for two different types of tumours

Including a fair few needles poked in them in the lead up as they checked they'd found everything. Follow up in the years to come because of the dense left breast. Funny, I might not have picked up the lump there if not for the rarer, more obvious type on the right that set me on my journey.

Lots of needle pricks and samples later...

The actual surgery was less than a week after my birthday, and a few weeks before Christmas.

I'm still healing physically, there's no lack of sensation, they're still quite tender.

In spirit though I am better than I was in the months leading up, so I'm counting my blessings and the excellent health care I received at the aptly named Breast Clinic at RHP. I still have my radioactive girl card (that's what I call it) I needed to carry after they marked the tumours with 'clips' a few days before the surgery.

It was surreal attending the Shania Twain concert with those teeny seeds that had been inserted.

I made it out alive and benign all the way through there was no surety till the last results from the surgery. Not a bad Birthday/Chrissie pressie if I do say so myself.

Thanks Mojo x

For medical purposes only. Apparently, anything alcoholic cures everything! It has so many amazing anti-aging benefits. It numbs a lot of things. 😁

I want to age gracefully like the Golden Girls and not be reminded that it is all downhill over 40. As they say, wisdom comes with age. 😎

Clinic Director Mojo

I am currently treating my problematic L5 issue with ice bricks, anti-inflammatory tablets, incredibly firm massage, and pink gin.

Might be working ...

Not the greatest couple of weeks

I managed to sprain my thumb a couple of weeks ago when I literally slid - not fell - off my chair and bent the thumb backwards when I landed . Luckily didn't tear any ligaments and it's slowly getting better but still sore, not helped by my impatience and aggravating it a couple of times at the gym.

Also, found out this week that yet another female relative has been diagnosed with cancer so I researched and it looks like I'm very likely at high risk for both breast and ovarian cancer. So, genetic counselling, early mammograms, and maybe removal of ovaries in my future.

Fucking cancer. Was hoping we'd get a reprieve after dad, but no such luck.

My grandmother

died giving service during the Second world war.

I asked my Grandfather "How Grampa?? was she shot?"

He said "No Grandson!! ... She was a prostitute, and a General with a wooden tooth, left a splinter in her Tit - She died of Septicaemia"

And one time...

I have always.. (Since First grade Primary school) been told I has a "Superiority Complex"

I was troubled by this over the years, and at age 25, I went to a Psychologist!

HE did innumerable testing shit on me..

He passed me onto maybe 13 of his colleagues, who carried out even MORE tests..

They sent me to Various Universities with mind scanning instruments and measuring shit.. and ultimately wrote papers and studies on my condition and responses..

FINALLY, nearly three years later, the Psych Dr got back to me with what was in essence worth a "Doctorate" in itself.

He said... "Cavey my old man.. After ALL this study and testing, we have determined that you do NOT have a 'Superiority Complex' "

HE followed that by the declaration:

"You genuinely ARE Superior"

Funny because it's true!

Simply walking down the street after work a week and a half ago caused me to slip and tear my ankle ligament.

And for some reason I had a 40+ degree fever on the weekend, wtf.

I'm feeling like a hot mess at the moment.

A few more aches, a few more pains...

I have osteoarthritis in my neck, started feeling the effects a few years ago. When I turn my head I can feel the bones grating against each other. Not very pleasant, but doesn't cause me too much grief - yet.
