The silent retreat

I flick through the profiles frustrated with want.

A boy has shown interest. I type..

'I am seeking the following scenario..

I will wait at the bar. You will sit next to me. We will not acknowledge each other. When i finish my drink, i will gesture for you to follow if i am interested.. You will leave if you prefer not. We will not share any details or conversation. 'Yes' or 'No' if you would like further meeting details.'

It is early evening and the bar is quiet, i sit with a glass of water, feeling slightly intoxicated by the thrill. Out the corner of my eye, i see a him approach the seat. I check my watch. He orders a drink and proceeds to sit in silence. Slowly the water diminishes as suspense and tension elevates. The empty glass taps the bench.. He gazes over, as i stand. With my eyes on the exit, i signal.. Proceeding without plan. He is a shadow a few metres behind. I halt and usher him close.

The alley, the construction site, the cubical, surveillance cameras.. Silently he comes under instruction.

We lie back on sweaty sheets. He looks at me, "It's nice to know your name".

I smile, as my hand gently brushes that distinctive scar.
