Once the visual documentation had been sorted Belladonna sat down ready to answer any and all questions.
For those familiar with our starlets career of late, there was only one question you could lead with right now and it pertains to her retirement, a decision announced on her site www.enterbelladonna.com a few months ago. Not only was the news shocking to fans and peers alike, it was an announcement that may have been made a little prematurely according to industry rumours.
“Oh yeah, that’s the one unfortunate thing about so many people reading my online blog” she says with a smile. “I don’t know if you read the whole story, but something happened which lead to that decision. I was working for Vivid and unfortunately after one of the shoots I had a health scare… it turned out to be kinda stress related and it lies dormant in your nervous system but it kinda frightened me. At that moment I was just really emotional and it got to me; I just thought I don’t want to do this any more”.
“So three weeks passed and I was actually shooting camera on one of our movies and I just turned my head to my husband and I was like ‘I don’t know if I should have said that because I really can’t see myself not doing this’, and its just kinda embarrassing because you mean what you said and you feel so strongly about it at the time, but soon everything calms down, but you know what - this is your life, and you can change your mind if you want”.
When asked to clarify the status of this her short-lived retirement once and for all Bella laughs and quickly removes any confusion. “Oh yeah, it’s like I didn’t even go away, I mean literally, I didn’t even miss a release so it’s all a little embarrassing but whatever…”
Without doubt, one of the most curious features one notices when talking to Belladonna is her normalcy. No ego, no bullshit agendas, just a gentle demeanour and a willingness to accommodate the questions thrown her way. When asked about her marriage to co-producer Aiden Kelly and the workings of such an interesting relationship, Bella was most forthcoming in breaking things down.
“Well I am of course married, but actually, Aiden fantasises about me being with other men… so yeah, whenever we’re at home and we’re having sex or I’m sucking him off or something, he’ll be talking to me about the guys that come up to me in the line here for example and ask if there were any I would have wanted to fuck. He’s just a really cool guy and he’s fine with me doing that as long as there’s no emotional stuff you know like I don’t wanna fall in love with these guys, it can only be like a one night stand”
