I met this really cute guy. I had just moved from interstate and was lonely. And must have seemed vulnerable. My car had broken down and he was a tow truck driver. He asked me out and I asked him if he was married or in a relationship. He had no ring on his finger and told me no. so I agreed to go out with him.

He was a reasonable lover but was forever late meeting me for dates. He never gave me his home number and never had any money. It should have sounded alarm bells. If they rang I never heard them. It never dawned on me that something was up. I had just split from a previous long-term relationship so was a bit messed in my head at the time.

I saw him for a few months off and on but my patience was wearing thin with him not turning up except for sex so I decided the next time he turned up I would ask for my key (which I had given him) back.

It was a few weeks later after making that decision he suddenly arrived. For the last few weeks he had not returned messages left on his mobile or at work. This night I had a couple of friends over and we were sitting in the lounge room. I got him a drink ad he sat down with us. It was a hot night so I had the front door open. Suddenly a blonde bombshell burst through my door screaming at him, "So this is where you’ve been going. Get home now".

He literally jumped up and ran out my door. She just looked at me and the rest of us then left. I sat there like a stunned mullet and realised I had been had. I thought there goes my key and burst out laughing. After my friends left I went to bed and thought nothing of it.

The next day she was back on my doorstep and apologised for the way she burst into my home. I invited her in for a coffee and we talked for about 2 hours. During that time I came up with a pay back. It turned out he had done this before and in fact she knew of several other women he was seeing at the time. This woman had been his girlfriend for 4 years and had kids to him. He needed to be taught a lesson. She gave me his home number and told me to ring him. We put arrangements in place and after she left I rang him and told him I wanted to talk to him about the night before. I told him I had gotten the number from one of his workmates.

He came over that night and I led him into the bedroom. Just before I took off my clothes his girlfriend was let into the house by my son and he was caught kissing me as she walked in. I got up from the bed and demanded my key back. I then told him he wasn’t running and that he was an idiot to treat this woman this way and I was going to shut the bedroom door so they could talk.

After while they came out and left. I saw them again 2 weeks later when they arrived for coffee and his woman put shit on him the whole time then they left never saw them again but I knew he got the message.
