Outrageous kinks that are surprisingly popular

Think that mastering the 'crab walk' position or doing it in the public, is pretty impressive and risqué?

Think again! Time to update your bedroom repertoire, ladies and gents.

According to Tracy Cox, a sexologist, many sex acts that were once thought taboo are now, wait for it, the norm in bedrooms. We're all getting a bit more experimental and pushing boundaries like never before.

Pegging, tea bagging, anal sex, fisting, golden showers and sex parties, are the latest craze.

Pegging

If you’ve recently found yourself interested in pegging, well then you're in with the trend.

Pegging has become a very popular sex activity that many heterosexual couples are exploring together. This role reversal during penetration can be a lot of fun. What is sex without a bit of experimentation. Read all about pegging - strap-on femdom sex.

Anal sex

Anal sex - whatever negative idea you have about butt play, get rid of it.

Butts are places of serious sensitivity and pleasure. With proper preparation, this is an area you'll wonder why you have been avoiding for so long.

Tea Bagging

Tea bagging is fast gaining popularity with a lot of women getting into it. Often a lot of our sexual pleasure derives from the pleasure we give our partner. And since lots of men love their balls licked, why not indulge them.

 Golden Showers

Golden showers or 'water sports' is when someone derives sexual pleasure by the sight, thought or feeling of urination. This kinky fetish, is one that might not appeal to everyone, but is becoming popular with many couples.

What is the appeal, you ask? Often the appeal is simply because it's one of the few sexual acts that remains 'taboo' – even if it's more common than you think.

BDSM

If 'Fifty Shades of Grey' did anything, it dispelled a lot of myths about BDSM and opened doors to curiosity.

BDSM is just another outlet of sexual expression. Embrace your wild side and explore at your own pace.

We should note here, that there is a big difference between SM and BDSM. BDSM is about role-play scenarios with safe words in place rather than inflict serious pain, with stopping play the minute it all becomes uncomfortable. Exploring your kinky side has never been as easy.

Fisting

Fisting is becoming more common. But why? First, fisting is not for everyone. Just like penises, every vagina is different: some can handle fisting and some just can't. With lots of lube and an experienced partner to achieve the right stretching, fisting will create the sensation of 'fulness' that results in an intense orgasm.

Sex parties

In the past, sex parties were linked to swingers' parties, not today. Today, we have a myriad of parties to cater for every taste and whim.

Right here on our home ground, we have OSS in Sydney, which caters for the young swingers. RedHeaven a high-class dance party where swingers enjoy a sexy ambience and continue their fun elsewhere, sometimes taking it to OSS or other private venues.

Finally, you have parties like Torture Garden, England, for BDSM aficionados. In Oz, we have Club 103, Darq BDSM club, where they cater for more of a risqué crowd.

There are now sex festivals such as Flamefest, Burning man where there's live bands, yoga tents, gourmet food and adult play parties. All around the world there are sex festival happening, you could almost travel all year long chasing these festivals.

With access to the internet and sex apps, the new generation is growing up with fewer inhibitions and less likely to pigeonhole sex activities as 'gay', 'queer' or 'straight'. They are open to trying things out, without shame and judgement and they are big on consent.

Our attitudes to sex and sexuality are evolving and changing and it's all very exciting. Sex trends might seem over-rated, but when embrace, they can make sex feel new again. Sometimes stepping outside the comfort zone and trying new sex acts can make sex naughtier and feel like a novelty once more.

Do you find that when you try new sex acts it invigorates your sex life? Which are the sex acts you have tried and will try again?

A bit fallacious to say '50 Shades' dispelled myths about BDSM - that book was the biggest load of shite out, so say the aficionados of the practice.
