Volleyball, music festivals, grocery shopping… just a few things that would be made infinitely better if we did them nude, in the buff, sans stiches!

It’s obvious when you think about it, but for some reason society at large is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to the wonders of the birthday suit, but thankfully, that’s about to change with what could well be the greatest television show ever made.

Cable network, VH1 will premiere their brilliant new reality series, Dating Naked in the U.S on July 17, and the ratings will surely follow. It’s a little bit Bachelor, a little bit Survivor, and a big bit sexy, with participants getting up close and personal with each other straight off the bat. As one of the contestants points out, “Usually it takes me three or four dates to see my girl naked, this was such a time saver.”

The stars of the show are thrown in the deep in, tackling extreme dating scenarios with naught but their wit and potential partner to help them out. Naked yoga, naked body-painting, naked zip-lining; how can this show possibly miss?

If you look at it from a social experiment point of view, the format will remove a lot of the traditional tension associated with coupling, replacing it with a few awkward moments followed by a clean canvas, upon which the couples can simply get to know one another and work through whatever bizarre challenges the show’s producers can throw at them. Brilliant!

Hopefully Dating Naked might actually show how much sexier our sexuality can be when it’s de-stigmatized, and we see it as the awesome and natural facet of humanity that it is. And sure, watching a few hotties get paraded around and traumatized while trying to land each other will be a shedload of fun into the bargain.

No plans for airing out side the U.S as yet, but we’re sure you crafty kids will find a way to get your hands on this little gem!
