The Depths of the Block List

The Depths of the Block List

I'm sure we've all done it and we all have our reasons for doing it. Yes, I'm talking about the deep dark sin bin of the block list.
I've often heard guys complain that they've been added to a block list without even making contact through a flirt or message. Does anyone do that and what's your reason for it?
Do you ever go through your block list, have second thoughts and take some people off your block list?
My main reason for adding people to my block list is if they've been really rude or abusive (or both). If I've told them I'm not interested in communicating with them but the messages or flirts still keep coming through.
I have been guilty of having second thoughts and removed people from my block list on a few occasions, only to realise why and then add then back on again so these occasions are getting fewer and far between.

men here

A lot of men here 😉 have no pictures or stolen pics, they get blocked. I find that creepy and how do we know we're not talking to a neighbour or worse, family member yew their choice, but they're surely not surprised when they get blocked 😃

Verified profiles ITM

Wouldn't the stolen photos at least get addressed by having a verified profile? I got around to doing mine only the last week, but for the reason of seeing here on the forums no verification can be a cause for not replying / blocking.

Nah Geek

Nothing is as it seems here and a profile can be verified with fake pictures. Learned that in the forum from a woman who had 3 verified profiles... and she still catfishe's the fora on occasion... Peachy ;-)

Guilt free blocking

I reserve the right to block anyone who doesn't get the no thank you response. I've had too many nasty/rude/stalkerlike messages. However, I've also blocked myself on occasion, which I only found out by not being able to see the text that I typed into chat, lol!!

Not what im looking for

Only block profiles of smokers saves me constantly opening the profile to read half... getting excited... then disappointed a it's not what i can have.

Looking at profiles multiple times= block worthy??? 🤔

So a general question for the RHP family on the great topic of blocking -apart from understanding that there is no place for abuse or not taking the hint either by being told or constantly messaging which I respect; i often wonder to myself the impression others have when their profile is viewed multiple times. I admit i have fallen in that trap-mainly as i cannot recall often the situation or "looking for" element of others-hence needing to look or viewing again then realizing-oh I remember now. Is that borderline stalking and block worthy??

Didn't your mother warn you about that Minx?

Don't block yourself or you'll get hairy palms!

Zero.....For now

I didn't realise you could. But now I am going to block ppl that search me on kik and ask if I'm from RHP. It feels a bit invasive if I haven't invited someone to chat via another method.

Yep and happy to add to it.

Have blocked then removed to give another chance, he let me down again and showed disrespectful behaviour so back to the block list he went.
No rush to remove. If ever...

Good point - for me it's not a few times or every now and then.

I've had situations where someone was viewing my profile up to 13 times a day. And they aren't all men either. Yes it's only a view, but when you're on the site and it pops up "suchnsuch has viewed your profile" and it keeps happening it feels stalker like.

If someone thinks I'm that fascinating they should take a screen shot and then they can view my profile as much as they like.

I've mentioned it to close pie friends before wondering if I was overreacting. But it seems certain people just don't know when to stop. That's what the block option is helpful for :)

The Urns

You've summed up how I'm feeling on this matter today perfectly. The option is there and we shouldn't be guilted into unblocking or hesitating to use the feature.

Love your input x

You're blocked, a homage to the Simpsons

Good browsing folks. Now to the easiest part of every Members job, the blocks. Although I wasn't able to block everyone I wanted to, I have blocked a lot of you.

Wendell is blocked, Rudy is blocked, Janey you're gone. Steven I like your hustle ... that's why it was so hard to block you. Congratulations! The rest of you stay unblocked.

Except you, you and you.

rudeness by any other name...

So here's my take. More and more lately I participate in the following... I send a message saying in essence "would you like to chat?"... No reply but I get blocked.

Forgive me but I feel this is rude. And honestly if this is the best you have to offer then it's small wonder that the less well balanced go out of their way to share the misery so to speak. It's just your karma coming back to you.

I have no issue with the offensive and those who simply don't get it being blocked, that's why it's there after all. But there are limits and one of those is we all deserve basic respect, in both directions. I know that 99% of you have no interest in me. It's OK to say so. I get it. But face it, sending the email took some personal effort on my part and if you're not prepared to offer the same in return, then I'm not the bad guy in the conversation...

As for blocking people who look at you in the forums. Words fail me. Precious much are we?

So,

I've just emptied my block list (all 13 pages). Time for a fresh start.

Let's see how log it takes before I have a full page again...

Woohoo Geek!

Thought for sure I would have earned a place there by now...

More on the topic... Frankly, I couldn't care less if I'm on someone's block list and I couldn't care less why either, ignorance is bliss. If people want to block, why shouldn't they?

I choose not to block because it's pretty useless for me. I have no need to block people in the forums because I don't follow threads, I follow people instead. I don't have problem messages, As a matter of fact, I got a very nice message about my profile today, that was cool... A big thanks to someone who seems to be a forum reader. And I enjoy my flirts, admittedly I don't actually read them most of the time because most come from Hot or What?. The thanks is in my profile for those who look at it before rating. All good, Peachy

FYI

If you are already blocked, and want to return the favour... You can do that by heading to your Block List (accessed by clicking on your picture above and selecting lists)- Selection 'Block User'- Typing their name in the pop up- and hitting 'Add User'. Peachy
