It finally happened

May 22 2018

No, not hot, sexy fun via RHP. We are still a month out from our trip.

The dreaded bait and switch technique we've read about on here. We spent a little time chatting with a couple and once we exchanged a couple pics, we were told that the wife of the couple decided to leave the lifestyle a couple years ago and the person behind the profile isnactually, in essence, a single male.

I know to look for verification on a profile. How else can we sniff out these situations? I'm sure a few more couples we are chatting with will end up being just a dude.

    Look for verification's.
If you chatting, and there's something that piques both your interest......Ask for their number and call them. Its just a conversation through the phone as opposed to text.
If they say no........then move on. You're simply wasting your time and have identified another "would be" , "could be" , "should be"

Get them to take a quick selfie holding up your name on a piece of paper.

Verifies them as well as the date of the pics they are using in case the pics are a "few years old".

If they refuse after you have explained you have been had a few times, you know it's a single Male.

Great ideas. We will certainly utilize them. We appreciate the guidance.

    Verified or not.
I like to do reverse image searches though. Calling someone on a fake photo/profile is an obscure form of hunting. Saving others from time wasters makes me feel like I'm doing my part for society 😂😅

I don't understand why anyone would do this....
Presumably they think that getting to know each other through chat for a while, people will start to like them enough that they'll be okay interacting with them as a single guy. But don't they realise that even if that bit of the ruse kinda worked to some degree, that the revelation of deception from the start won't be a massive turnoff?!
I wonder if this kind of scenario has ever actually worked out for anyone, like, ever?

Or people would stop doing it. After this experience, we are skeptical of two other couples we are chatting with. We will see how it works out when we implement a couple of the tricks mentioned above.
